Sixty-seven-year-old Zuma makes his remarkable comeback on Wednesday with the Chief Justice's announcement.
Jacob Zuma said, "I stand before this house and the nation overwhelmed by the responsibility that is being thrust upon my shoulders. I'm truly humbled by the opportunity to serve as the 4th president of the republic of South Africa."
In his address to parliament, Zuma promised to speed up progress on education, health, land reform, and fight harder against poverty, crime and AIDS. His top priority is to limit the fallout from the global financial crisis.
