Security forces patrol via helicopter and boat to ensure free and fair elections.

Security forces say their confidence building measures include regular patrolling, vehicle checks and night patrols.

D. Adhikari, Commanding Officer of Border Security Force, said, "The basic idea is to make the public feel secure and safe so that confidence is built among them, and on polling day they can cast their vote without any fear."

Central Reserve Police Force personnel are also keeping a continuous vigil to maintain law and order in sensitive areas.
