The rebuilding is proceeding quickly as the one year anniversary of the massive earthquake approaches. Many farmers have moved into brand new apartments, or even villas, without spending a penny. Their incomes are also expected to improve.
Huang Gang said, "This place is much better than my old house. The electricity and gas are all working well. I even have running water. In my old home, I had to pump water from a well." |
One year later, we met Huang Gang again. The disabled farmer just got back from his transportation business.
