China says it has developed a new diagnostic test for the A/H1N1 flu virus in pigs. The Ministry of Agriculture says the new method could provide test results in five hours and also provide a reference for the virus in humans.

The ministry urges local health departments to strengthen efforts on the storage and management of emergency materials for A/H1N1 flu prevention and control.
