Defense Minister Liang Guanglie has met with grandchildren of General Joseph Warren Stilwell, a United States Army four-star General, best-known for his service in China and Myanmar during World War Two.

Defense Minister Liang Guanglie has met with grandchildren  of General Joseph Warren Stilwell, a United States Army  four-star General, best-known for his service in China  and Myanmar during World War Two.

General Stilwell's grandson Joseph is visiting Qingdao, where the Chinese Navy's 60th anniversary celebrations are taking place. Liang Guanglie said General Stilwell had made a great contribution in support of China's war of Resistance against Japanese aggression.

Defense Minister Liang Guanglie has met with grandchildren  of General Joseph Warren Stilwell, a United States Army  four-star General, best-known for his service in China  and Myanmar during World War Two.

Stilwell said his grandfather had told him that his most cherished experience was fighting fascism alongside the Chinese people. He said he hoped China and the US will strengthen cooperation in the future.
