Those interested in being part of the 2010 Shanghai Expo, now have a chance to be a volunteer for the event. Organizers announced recruitment plans on Tuesday.

Starting from May 1st, people from all over the world can  log onto the official Expo website to submit their  applications. Organizers plan to recruit 70 thousand  people over the age of 18 for on-site volunteer services.

Organizers plan to recruit 70 thousand people over the age of 18 for on-site volunteer services. There will also be 100 thousand volunteers at public spots across the city, such as hotels, restaurants, and scenic sites. They will be helping with information consultation, emergency rescue and translation.

Another big event in China, the 16th Asian Games, is also recruiting volunteers. A total of 60 thousand volunteers will be needed.
