Somali pirates release tanker, Filipino crew

Somali pirates have released the chemical tanker "Stolt Strength" with its Filipino crew of 23.

Pirates hijacked the tanker in the Gulf of Aden five months ago.

The Kenya-based East African Seafarers' Assistance Programme has confirmed that the ship and its crew have been freed, but it did not say if a ransom was paid.
