On Sunday, visiting US chief of Naval Operations Admiral  Gary Roughead held a news conference in Beijing to comment  on the growth of China's naval forces.

The Navy Chiefs of both China and the US are now in the eastern port city of Qingdao for the 60th anniversary of Chinese Navy.

Being the highest-ranking US officer to visit China this year, Roughead's briefing touched on many thorny issues between China and US -- one being the Chinese plans for an aircraft carrier.
