Perhaps the biggest applause has come for US President Barack Obama's call for a new start in relations between Washington and Havana.
Barack Obama says he is ready to accept Cuban President Raul Castro's proposal of talks on issues once off-limits for Cuba, including the scores of political prisoners held by Cuba.
Barack Obama, US President, said, "The United States seeks a new beginning with Cuba. I know that there's a longer journey that must be travelled to overcome decades of mistrust. But there are critical steps we can take toward a new day. "
