US monitors of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's nuclear programme have pulled out of the country. The DPRK expelled them and has vowed to restart its reactor. It's angry about United Nations criticism of its recent rocket launch.

The four Americans arrived in Beijing on a flight from Pyongyang on Friday, but declined to speak to reporters. Their departure came a day after UN nuclear inspectors left the country.

The DPRK said earlier this week it would ask all international inspectors to leave the country, restart its nuclear programme and quit disarmament talks.
