It's been two weeks since the G20 London summit concluded. The summit proposed a joint consensus to ride out the financial crisis, but it still left many issues unresolved. This provides an opportunity for the Boao Forum for Asia to discuss how to deal with the crisis. The annual event is expected to provide an opportunity to reach many new agreements.

EXPECTED AGREEMENTS 1: NEW WAYS TO TACKLE THE CRISIS

Major economies in the Asia Pacific region were supposed to discuss ways to tackle the global financial crisis at the ASEAN summit that had been scheduled for last week. The cancellation of the summit meant they lost the opportunity. But it increases the significance of this year's Boao Forum for Asia.

Many say the theme of this year's Boao Forum is "Asia: Managing Beyond Crisis", so it would not be surprising if the forum reaches agreements on new ways to combat the crisis.
