About two-thousand protesters began to abandon their encampment on Tuesday.

Protest leader Suporn Attawong says the Red Shirts are ready to leave.

They are supporters of ousted Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra who are calling for the current national leader to resign and new elections.

Two days of rioting has left two dead and more than 120 injured in clashes across the city.
