Former Thai PM calls for revolution

Tensions are running high in Thailand after Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva declared a state of emergency. The red-shirted, anti-government protesters are continuing their demonstrations.

In a telephone message to his followers, Former Tai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra called for a revolution and said he might return from exile to lead it.

In a telephone message to his followers, Former THai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra called for a revolution and said he might return from exile to lead it.

Thaksin Shinawatra, former Thai Prime Minister said "It's time for the people to come out in a revolution asking for a real democracy for our people with the constitution under the monarchy. Please do not worry, just call me any time as you want. We will stand side by side and when it is necessary, I will come back to the country."
