Let's take a closer look at the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The Assembly consists of one deputy from each of 687  constituencies. They serve five-year terms.

The Assembly consists of one deputy from each of 687 constituencies. They serve five-year terms. Among the deputies are DPRK leader Kim Jong-Il and top legislator Kim Jong-Nam.

The ongoing session of the 12th Supreme People's Assembly will elect a new government, review last year's government spending and approve this year's budget.
