Chinese survivors in Italy earthquake: Hopes for the future

Some 60 Chinese are living in the quake-hit area in Italy. Zheng Yu and his wife are two of them. They are now living in a tent.

Zheng Yu and his wife run a clothing business in Italy.  They were awakened just before the quake destroyed  their home.

Zheng Yu said，"At first, I told my wife to run out of the house fast. But she said there's no big deal. And suddenly, we heard a crash and we ran out."

Their baby is due any day now. They hope his birth will be a new beginning.

Zheng Yu said, "My baby will be born within 15 days. I want to give him a very meaningful name. I hope he is safe and sound after the earthquake."

The couple is now living in a tent with 2 other families. The Italian government is providing all the food and necessities.

Zheng Yu says what they want is to get back to their normal live as soon as possible.
