Under the new healthcare reform, over 90 percent of Chinese people will be covered by basic medical insurance within three years.

Q1: What this reform means to Chinese people, especially since it comes at a time of such financial instability?

Q2: Government funding covers only about ten percent of operating costs in public hospitals, so we often see doctors prescribing expensive and unnecessary medicine and treatments to make more money for the hospitals. Will the de-commercializing of these hospitals affect the development of China's medical system?

Q3: The three-year reform is a huge undertaking. What do you think are the biggest obstacles to achieving the goals laid out in the plan?
