Chinese president Hu meets with state leaders

President Hu Jintao met several state leaders during the London summit. They discussed bilateral ties and how to fight the financial crisis, as well as major international and regional issues.

Hu Jintao and Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso discussed bilateral ties and major world and regional issues.

Aso's deputy cabinet secretary for public relations, Osamu Sakashita, said President Hu has urged Japan to handle the DPRK'S expected rocket launch over Japanese territory calmly, and China is working to avert the launch.
