Arab leaders arrive in Doha for Arab League Summit

Arab leaders are arriving in the Qatari capital of Doha for a two-day summit. The meeting aims to unify Arab positions on a series of challenges facing the region.

On the agenda is a package of major issues. These include the Palestinian cause and the peace process in the Middle East.
Participants will also attempt to patch up differences between some Arab countries. Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, said the summit will focus on enhancing Arab unity.
Mahmoud Abbas, Palestinian President, said, "The most important thing of this summit is to enhance Arab solidarity which began a month ago. We can see the good attempts made by Qatar to enhance this unity. Apart from this there is the Arab peace initiative and the reconstruction of Gaza which are also of great importance."
