A Tibet photo exhibition marking the autonomous region's Serf Emancipation Day has been held in New York City.

A Tibet photo exhibition marking the autonomous region's  Serf Emancipation Day has been held in New York City.

The exhibition on Saturday was sponsored by overseas Chinese associations in New York. More than a hundred photos gave a vivid picture of changes that have occurred in Tibet over the past 50 years.

Visitors were also shown documentary films. The exhibition aims to introduce the reality of the Tibet situation to mainstream US society.
