China, Thailand stress cooperation amid crisis

Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Bejjajiva has met in Bangkok with Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi. Both sides stressed the need to deepen cooperation in coping with global financial crisis and economic downturn.

During the meeting on Wednesday, Yang Jiechi expressed China's willingness to help push forward the integration process of both ASEAN and East Asia as a community.

Meanwhile, Abhisit said Thailand is ready to join efforts with China to deepen cooperation in tackling the financial crisis.
