Ministry Spokesman Ma Zhaoxu said, "The resolution adopted by the US House of Representative ignores the facts, repeats groundless accusations about the China's religious policy, and voices support for the Dalai Lama's separatist activities. Such action violates the basic norms guiding international relations, and meddles in China's domestic affairs. The Chinese government and Chinese people strongly condemn the resolution.
The National People's Congress also protested against the US resolution, saying it aimed to disrupt social stability in Tibet, and damage China's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
