China´s top political advisory body vows to help develop economy

BEIJING, March 12 (Xinhua) -- The Second Session of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) began its closing ceremony here Thursday morning, pledging efforts to help maintain steady and relatively fast economic development in 2009.

Jia Qinglin, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over the ceremony.

Top Communist Party of China (CPC) and state leaders Hu Jintao, Wu Bangguo, Wen Jiabao, Li Changchun, Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang, He Guoqiang and Zhou Yongkang were present at the closing ceremony.
