Suicide bomber kills 33 in Iraq

In the west of Baghdad, a suicide bomber struck Sunni and Shiite tribal leaders on Tuesday, killing 33 people.

The bomber detonated an explosives belt as the tribal leaders were walking through the market in the town of Abu Ghraib.

US soldiers load their tanks on tank-carriers at Al- Rustumiyah military base, southeast of Baghdad. A  suicide bomber on Tuesday killed 33 people, including  tribal chiefs, soldiers and two journalists, in the  second major attack around Baghdad in two days,  officials said.(AFP/Ahmad al-Rubaye)

Nobody has claimed responsibility. This is the second major attack in the capital area in 2 days as the US army begins drawing down forces in Iraq.
