The Associated Press noted on Tuesday that the CPPCC and NPC are meeting for the first time after the global financial crisis, so the big concern is the country's next step is to stimulate economy. The report says hot topics at the conference will be jobs, social welfare, education and environmental protection.

Reuters reported earlier that economy and social stability will top the agenda of the CPPCC and NPC sessions.

AFP says the conferences will focus on the implementation of the government's four-trillion-yuan stimulus package, to boost the economy and maintain social stability.

Japan's Nikkei says economic policy, readjusting industrial structure, and raising farmers' income will be topics for discussion. Key phrases will be improving people's livelihood and a harmonious society.

The Wall Street Journal predicts the conferences will address topics closely related to people's livelihood, such as medical system reform, food safety, and increased spending on social welfare.
