CPPCC to discuss pressing issues

Members of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference will discuss state affairs during the meeting and make their proposals on how to deal with pressing issues. The public has also been expressing its opinions.

Spokesman for the session, Zhao Qizheng said the session will last nine days. Over 22-hundred members are expected to participate. High on the agenda are hearing and deliberating a work report delivered by CPPCC Chairman Jia Qinglin. The members will also review a government work report and work reports from the Supreme People's Court and Supreme People's Procuratorate. There will also be group discussions on state affairs.
