Special Report: Terror attacks in MumbaiNEW DELHI, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- India has agreed to respond to Pakistan over 30 questions seeking new evidence of the Mumbai terror attacks last November, said the country's External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, according to a report by Times of India on Tuesday.
Mukherjee told local media on Monday that India will also resume cooperation with Islamabad "as and when necessary", said the newspaper report.
He was in response to the proposal by Pakistani High Commissioner (Ambassador) to India Shahid Malik that the two countries resume "composite dialogue".
Pakistan has put forward a series of 30 questions to New Delhi seeking "additional evidence", according to Indian Foreign Ministry officials.
The demands made to India a couple of weeks ago include a copy of the confessional statement as well as voice recording of Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone attacker caught alive by India, forensic reports of satellite phones used by the terrorists and DNA profiles of all the 10 terrorists who took part in the Mumbai attacks from November 26 to 29 last year.
The terror strikes on Mumbai saw 10 coordinated attacks which began on 26 November and lasted until 29 November. At least 173 people were killed and over 308 wounded in the attacks which drew widespread condemnation across the world.
Kasab has confessed to the police that Pakistan-based militant organization Lashker-e-Toiba masterminded the attacks, according to Indian authorities.
Pakistan had admitted this month that part of the conspiracy was planned in Pakistan and the attackers went to Mumbai from the port city of Karachi with three boats.
