Tibetans have a 7-day holiday to celebrate their  own New Year. Many different cultural events  will mark the festival.

Tibet TV is preparing for the yearly Tibetan New Year gala. The broadcast will feature nearly 800 performers from Tibet, and Tibetan communities in Beijing, Sichuan, Yunnan and Gansu, as well as famous non-Tibetan artists. The show will be aired around China on Tuesday by Tibet Satellite TV.
