Clinton's stopover at this clean-energy thermal plant is more than a symbolic gesture. The cooperative venue is just one example of what China and the United States can do together to fight global warming.
The Secretary of State takes an historical approach to make clear the relationship between the environment and the growth of a nation.
Hillary Clinton, US Secretary of State said "What we hope is that you won't make the same mistakes we made because I don't think either China or the world can afford that. When we were industrializing and growing, we didn't know any better sustainable growth, clean-energy driven growth."
