Staff and veterinarians at the Taipei Zoo have conducted a comprehensive health check on "Yuan Yuan," one of the two pandas the zoo received as a gift from the Chinese mainland in December.

The health check is part of a project to set up a medical database for the panda pair in Taipei. The wide ranging health check included everything from heart to blood tests, and "Yuan Yuan" was found to be in good health.
Dentists also examined "Yuan Yuan" in order to set up a health file. They say dental disease prevention is important for pandas.
