Representatives from the US, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany met in Wiesbaden to discuss a new strategy for pressuring Iran to suspend its sensitive nuclear work.
The countries urged Iran to comply fully with UN demands, which include a halt to uranium enrichment and opening up more to a UN nuclear watchdog investigation.
A German official quoted a joint statement, saying they are committed to a diplomatic solution based on the dual track strategy.
The two-track approach means using diplomacy and the threat of international sanctions. The representatives also welcomed US President Barack Obama's offer to talk directly with Tehran.
