A rocket launched from Hamas-ruled Gaza earlier hit the city, injuring one woman.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack from Palestinian armed factions in the Gaza Strip.
The coastal enclave is struggling to recover from Israel's devastating offensive.
Meanwhile, diplomats and aid officials continue to visit the territory to assess the damage and reconstruction needs.
Radhika Coomaraswamy, UN Special Representative, said, "We will try to work with our UNICEF and other colleagues about a reconstruction plan for Gaza which will insure that children are protected and that children are given the best as well."
