China, Germany issue joint economic atatement

Following the meeting between Premier Wen Jiabao and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the two countries issued a joint statement on stabilizing the global economy.

The joint statement commits the two sides to strengthening dialogue on economic, trade, currency and fiscal policies, and mutual support on economic stimulus plans. Broader cooperation and injecting new impetus into economic growth are also planned.
