Eight months after the Sichuan earthquake and the first batch of permanent housing is ready for survivors in four of the hardest-hit areas. Some of the people who lost their homes in the disaster will move into their new homes before the New Year holiday.

90 percent of the houses in Dujiangyan's Qipan village, collapsed during last year's earthquake.
Eight months have passed, and more than 800 families have moved to their new permanent houses before the Spring Festival with government help.
Villager Dong Zhongru said, "I've got a 175-square-meter house. There are 5 people in my family."
