Vice-President Xi Jinping makes his first visit to Macao this weekend as a State Leader. Local news reports say the visit has a special significance for the development in the Special Administrative Region.

Vice-President Xi Jinping makes his first visit to Macao  this weekend as a State Leader.

In the Elderly Care Center of the Macao Neighborhoods Association, people say they are proud to make a special gift for Vice-President Xi Jinping. It will be the first time that a state leader ever visited the Association. As this year marks the Year of the Ox, they are making a paper ox, which brings fortune and happiness for the lunar New year.

The head of the Association says his organization has a history of over half a century. It is one of the most influential NGOs in the region, serving all of Macao.
