Editor killed in Sri Lanka

The editor of a Sri Lankan newspaper critical of the government was shot and killed on Thursday.

This is the second violent attack on the media this week. The shooting came just two days after gunmen raided a private television station.

Meanwhile, Sri Lankan airstrikes once again targeted rebels and soldiers captured an important Tamil Tiger base on Thursday.
