Special Report: Israel airstrikes in GazaIsrael has agreed to a "humanitarian corridor" proposal promoted by the United Nations Security Council.
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's office says under the plan, Israel will hold its fire on specific parts of Gaza to allow people to get supplies.

Mark Regev, Israeli Government Spokesperson, said, "The idea of the humanitarian corridors is to meet the needs of the people of the Gaza Strip, the civilian population. We have got a situation where the crossings have been opened and food stuffs and medicines have been entering Gaza. But because of the difficult combat situation there has been a problem with distribution. "
Israel insists it has allowed enough supplies into the territory during 11 days of conflict. But the UN says there is already a humanitarian crisis there because of shortages of food, fuel and medicine.
