Travellers and photographers were also drawn to the village of Wuyuan in Jiangxi province. Maple trees standing over thirty meters tall are a distinctive feature here. Wuyuan belongs to the ancient Huizhou people, and boasts many local residences that have hundreds of years of history. The trees and the ancient architecture compose a landscape that looks like it's straight off an artist's canvas.
A tourist said, "The Huizhou-style houses go well with the red leaves. They make good pictures. I'm very satisfied with what I've shot here."
Waterfalls add to the beauty of Dazhang Mountain, located to the north of Wuyuan. Travellers walked along wooden bridges, enjoying their encounter with Mother Nature.
