Special Report: China navy's escorting missionJapanese Prime Minister, Taro Aso, says Japan intends to send war vessels to the Somali coast, and to amend relevant laws for the move.
Aso says the Japanese navy should prepare for its mission in fighting piracy in Somali coasts. The warships will be sent in the name "Guard on the Sea".

The Japanese government will make an official decision in January, and begin sending vessels in February. It will be the first time Japan sends warships overseas in the name of "Guard on the Sea".
