Beichuan reconstruction plan approved

Authorities have approved a reconstruction plan for Beichuan county, one of the worst hit regions in the Wenchuan earthquake in May.

The plan has chosen a new location for Beichuan, which was totally destroyed in the disaster. The new county will be eight times larger than the original one. All the reconstruction work is due for completion by 2020.
