Cross-straits postal services begin Dec. 15

China's State Post Bureau says the mainland is ready for cross-straits postal services to begin on December the 15th.

From Monday, the State Post Bureau says mail will be sent between the mainland and Taiwan on direct flights or shipping. 600-thousand mainland distribution centers will offer services including as express mail, parcel postage and postal remittance.

Due to technical reasons, postal remittance services will begin on the Taiwan side in January or February.
