Pakistan proposes joint investigation with India

India has blamed the deadly Mumbai attacks on the banned Pakistani militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba.

India says investigations have shown that all the militants involved in the attacks were Pakistani nationals.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Pakistani Foreign Minister, said, "The government of Pakistan has offered a joint investigating mechanism and joint commission to India so that we are ready to collectively reach the bottom of this issue and are ready to compose such a team which can help you. Pakistan wants good relations with India."(CCTV.com)

And New Delhi has called on Islamabad to take "strong action" against those responsible. The Pakistani Foreign Minister spoke to reporters on Tuesday.

India has handed Pakistan a list of 20 wanted persons. New Delhi wants Islamabad to hand over suspected militants believed to be living in Pakistan.

India has also lodged an official protest to Pakistan over the attacks which left over 180 dead in Mumbai.
