Kenya condemns India bomb attacks

NAIROBI, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki on Thursday strongly condemned the terrorist attacks carried out in Mumbai, India.

President Kibaki also sent his condolence message to Indian President Pratibha Patil, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, and the people of India following attacks at the Oberoi and Taj Mahal hotels and other parts of Mumbai which killed more than 100 people and injured many others.

In his message, President Kibaki expressed his deepest sympathies to those who have lost their family members and friends in the attacks and prayed for speedy recovery of those injured.

"My government and the people of Kenya strongly condemn all forms of attacks against innocent people and hope that those involved in this criminal and heinous act will be brought to justice," President Kibaki said.

The President also called for the release of those still held hostage by the attackers and strongly condemned the attacks against innocent people.

President Kibaki, once again, reiterated Kenya's commitment to supporting the international community in fighting all forms of terror attacks, saying the attack on innocent people was an inhumane and uncivilized crime that should not be tolerated.
