WASHINGTON, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- The following are the Electoral College votes won by major U.S. presidential candidates as of 2300 EST Tuesday (0300 GMT Wednesday), according to U.S. television network Fox.

Republican John McCain 145 Electoral Votes

Democrat Barack Obama 297 Electoral Votes

Unsured 96 Electoral Votes

Under U.S. election system, a candidate must get 270 of the 538 votes in the Electoral College to win the presidency.
