WASHINGTON, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- The following are the Electoral College votes projected to win by major U.S.presidential candidates as of 2245 EST Tuesday (0245 GMT Wednesday), according to U.S. television networks.

Republican John McCain 138 Electoral Votes

Democrat Barack Obama 220 Electoral Votes

Unsured 180 Electoral Votes

Under U.S. election system, a candidate must get 270 of the 538votes in the Electoral College to win the presidency.
