After nearly 10 minutes in the air, the Long-March rocket sent the Shenzhou-7 spacecraft and its 3 member crew into the designated orbit. Applause and cheers erupted at the Jiuquan Command Center. Many embraced while celebrating the proud moment.
A researcher of China's Manned Space Project, said, "I feel so happy and very excited. Actually I'm almost speechless at this moment. No language can fully express my feelings right now."
Yang Liwei said, "Of course everyone felt very happy when the rocket and the spacecraft successfully separated. The launch was very successful. I also feel very pound of my colleagues' performance throughout the preparations and the final launch process."
Jin Muchun said, "Every movement during the more than 500 seconds' flight was perfect."
Liu Yu said, "For more than 3 years, our team has been working very hard. With everyone's effort and support, we finally achieved our goal. We will do even better in the future."
The success of the launch is a just new beginning for Chinese experts. They are closely monitoring the performance of the spacecraft for the challenging spacewalk ahead. Every second is crucial for the mission's complete success.
