BACCC ready for Shenzhou 7 mission

Special Report: Shenzhou-7 Manned Space FlightThe Beijing Aerospace Command and Control Center, or BACCC, is considered the nerve center of China's manned space missions. Its main responsibility is flight control. It oversees every instruction sent from the ground up to the spacecship, every set of data put into the computer, and every decision made at critical moments. It takes control of the spacecraft about 5 minutes after take-off.

As Li Xiang reports, the center is now ready for China's first ever spacewalk mission. With the blast-off of the Shenzhou 7 mission just around the corner, the head of the Beijing Aerospace Command and Control Center, Zhu Mincai, is busy checking the final preparations. He says that compared to the country's previous manned space missions, Shenzhou 7 is the most challenging.
