Senior official Li Yang, from Dalian Disabled Persons Federation, started the 3.8-kilometer long relay. Among all the torch bearers, 14 of them are disabled, such as popular blind singer Yang Guang.
The route of "ancient China" will head to Luoyang, Henan province, before it joins with this "modern China" route in Beijing on Friday.
