The first tour group setting out from the Chinese mainland for Taiwan is now ready. To embrace a new era for the tourism industry in Taiwan, the relevant sectors including tour agencies, hotels, air carriers and financial institutions have all been making efforts to welcome the guests from the mainland. With the approach of July 4th, the day that the tour group arrives in Taiwan, there are differences in conventions between Taiwan and the mainland.

The good news that mainland tourists will come to visit Taiwan made the local tourism operators excited as the industry has been going through a downturn period. To prepare for the tides of tourists from the mainland, many hotels in Taiwan have been renovated, and the simplified Chinese characters have been printed on the brochures of some tourist attractions.

In arrangement of cuisine, the Taipei Palace Museum put forward the Treasure Feast whose food is modeled on the treasures which are saved in the museum.
