BEIJING, June 6 (Xinhua) -- Aid has continued to flow into China from abroad in the wake of the devastating 8.0-magnitude earthquake that hit southwest China's Sichuan Province on May 12.

Papua New Guinea's Prime Minister Michael Thomas Somare expressed condolences to the quake victims and the government has decided to offer 500,000 U.S. dollars in aid.

Pakistan's Punjab Province, a sister province of the quake-hit Sichuan, donated 3,500 tents to China.

Finland donated 1,000 military tents to the quake victims.

The Danish Red Cross will provide tents to the quake-hit regions and set up a large tent camp in Sichuan's provincial capital Chengdu for the International Committee of the Red Cross to carry out relief work.

The parliament of the central Mexican state of Mexico has donated through the Chinese embassy 400,000 pesos (some 37,000 dollars) for the disaster-hit regions.

Death toll from the quake rose to 69,130 as of Friday, while 17,824 people are still missing, according to official figures.
