US missile attacks kill 5 in Iraq

Violence continues in Iraq as missile attacks by US helicopters target Sadr City while a roadside bomb was detonated in central Baghdad.

There's been heavy fighting in Sadr City over the past few days as US and Iraqi troops try to push militants out of rocket range of the Green Zone. (CCTV.com)

The bomb exploded next to a police patrol near Shaab Stadium wounding five people including three policemen.

Meanwhile, five people died and four others were injured in missile attacks by US helicopters in Sadr City.

The US military says four gunmen were killed in the air strike and police say nine others were injured.
